Blucap unveils motorcycle navigation sunglasses 

Hong Kong-based smart eyewear brand Blucap has unveiled Blucap Moto, a motorcycle navigation sunglasses that can display information directly in front of the rider’s line of vision.

Blucap’s motorcycle sunglasses are equipped with the highly energy-efficient MicroLED within the light engine, the ultra-low power consumption chip used in Blucap Moto, and a minimalist and restrained HUD interaction design. The HUD display can show speed, speeding alerts, incoming calls, messages, etc.

The new AR motorcycle sunglasses have an anti-tech design and no buttons, LEDs, or USB sockets. It appears like regular classic-style sunglasses. However, they are integrated with the AR technology inside. Also, it features an eyeglass’s legs made of flexible, skin-friendly materials.

The Blucap Moto eyeglasses show turn directions and a navigation map on the right eye of the sunglasses. The sunglasses can show map navigation with the help of AR technology, which can be controlled with a handlebar remote. These 45-gram Blucap Moto sunglasses boast a long-lasting battery life of 10 hours.

Handlebar Remote Control helps to control the map effortlessly. A dedicated Map Button is used to display and hide the navigation map. It also helps with voice controls and hands-free calls with the Bluetooth headset.

Handlebar Remote Control powered by two-button cell batteries. The battery can last up to six months. Also, the remote control is waterproof, shockproof, and designed to withstand impacts and exposure to water.

Moreover, the outer lens of the sunglasses is polarized and comes with tinted outer lenses, which protect the eyes from 100% UVA and UVB light. The outer lens is also anti-fog, scratch-resistant, hydrophobic, and oleophobic.

Blucap’s ShiftLock quick-release design allows for easy outer lens replacements. The outer lens of the sunglasses can be replaced by the ten types of color-polarized and photochromic lenses.

Blucap Moto sunglasses can be paired with the Blucap Moto’s App via Bluetooth. The app integrates maps from a software development kit (SDK) from Google Maps and MapBox.

On the app, once you start navigation, you can place the phone in your pocket. Blucap Moto glasses will assist you in reaching your destination with a real-time map within your line of sight. Blucap Moto automatically displays turn indicators when making turns.
